Geography and History
Pupils are taught geographical skills and learn to collect and record evidence, make maps and plans, interpret globes, use secondary sources of evidence and IT resources. Local and foreign localities will be studied in the course of their geographical studies. Other themes which will be followed are Rivers, Weather, Settlement and Environmental Change.
History involves the children in learning about chronology, the beliefs and attitudes of people in the past, how to use a range of sources in information and artefacts, to interpret the way people lived in the past, and to have the opportunity to ask and answer questions to help them to have a better understanding of the past.
