Hazelbury Bryan Primary School

For Personal and Social education we follow the DfE guidelines and are implementing the SEAL project (Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning) and are now using the Rainbow packs, devised by Dorset that link SEAL with Healthy Eating, Rights and Respecting Schools and Every Child Matters.

We follow the Rainbow SEAL Programme in each class.

Each half-term there is a different theme.

  • New Beginnings
  • Getting on and Falling out
  • Say no to bullying
  • Going for goals
  • Good to be Me
  • Relationships
  • Changes

We also have employed an ELSA- an Emotional Learning Support Assistant. She works with individuals and small groups and helps them with any problems both inside of school and out, that can be affecting their learning.

We also offer many Extra Curricular Activities including:
Football, I-pads, Tag Rugby, Netball, Cricket, Choir, Multi-skills, Dodge ball, dancing, Art, Indoor Games, Athletics and Rounders.

After-school Club also provides a wide range of activities including art and games and a chance to complete homework of just chill!

An updated Behaviour policy that focuses on parents, children and staff working together.
