Science
Science is a practical activity where children are taught to investigate and find out about living things, materials and physical processes. The skills of Science, like seeking and using evidence, drawing conclusions from observations and applying ideas to solve new problems helps children to develop a better understanding of our world. We aim to teach children to use a scientific approach to problem solving, whilst developing an enquiring mind by taking account of evidence, but also learning to be critical in their thinking.
By the end of the Primary School education, children should be confident to design and make items working from their own plans. Using a range of tools, materials and processes safely and with control, the children learn to evaluate their products and suggest ways of improving them.
