Hazelbury Bryan Primary School

Year 3 and 4 Football Tournament

Congratulations to the years 3 and 4 football team. They competed in their first tournament of the year. The team won their first two games against Stallbridge and Shillingstone. Despite it being his first tournament and first ever football game for Hazelbury, Theo managed to score in both games to make them both 1-0.

Next up, were our rivals Child Okeford. Hazelbury battled it out in a very tight game. There was some fantastic defence from Laila and Gabriel, who both enjoyed this as their first tournament. However, it was not meant to be and in the dying seconds, Child Okeford scored a goal to end it 1-0.

Finally, there was the challenge of Okeford. The team played fantastically, with shots being fired left, right and centre from William and Oscar, each missing the goal by a centimetre. A rock solid goal keeping performance from Oliver meant the final score was 0-0.

Both Stallbridge and Hazelbury ended up at the top with 15 points. However, Stallbridge won the tournament on goal difference. A well-deserved 2nd place was earned by Hazelbury Bryan. Well done everyone, you did a fantastic job.
