Easter Egg Competition
Just before Easter, a group of 5 Hawks, came up with the brilliant idea of raising money for Cancer Research, by designing an Easter Egg Drawing Competition. These enterprising youngsters, worked really hard planning, making posters, presenting their ideas to the school and collecting money for this worthwhile cause. In the end they raised a brilliant amount of just over £50, which meant that more than half of the school took part.
Our Vice Governor - Mr Pitcher, was the judge, and the children watched the process to make sure that he was deciding on the most imaginative egg without any knowledge of who had drawn it.
The prizes had been donated by the children’s parents: there were overall winners for each key stage as well as class winners and runner ups. Our chair of governors, Mr Maughan, was so inspired by all of their hard work, that he donated small eggs to all the children who had taken part and also gave each of the organisers an egg for themselves
A great effort by – Abbie, Katie, Oscar, Oliver and Gabriel
