Eagles Trip the the Priest's House Museum

Eagles Trip the the Priest's House Museum

On Wednesday 6th November the Eagles enjoyed a trip to the Priest's House Museum in Wimborne. We had chance to sit in a Victorian school room and found out about the subjects they learnt as well as the cane! (No one was hurt though!)
We went into a Victorian kitchen and learnt how they cooked. Each group did something different. From lighting the fire, to making biscuits, making lemonade and making toast.
In the Ironmongers shop we learnt about the things they would have been able to buy, from china hot water bottles to the toilet bucket. We learnt about money.
In the toy room we could see some of the toys that they had. Dolls made with wood, china and wax, a money box and bikes you had to move along with your arms and steer with your feet.
