What is Happening in Eagles this Spring Term
In maths year 6 are covering number, particularly decimals, percentages and algebra. We will be looking at measurement - converting between units and perimeter, area and volume. We will also be looking at ratio.
Year 5 are improving their multiplication and division skills, and working on number particularly fractions, decimals and percentages.
In literacy we start with arguments, then spooky stories, drama, reports and journalistic writing and poetry.
In topic we will be looking at rivers and coasts.
French this term as well recapping colours and numbers, we will also be learning about the names of clothes and using all of this to write sentences. We will also read stories in French.
In music we will sing different songs and think about the instruments we can hear as well as adding our own compositions.
In PHSE we start with ‘going for goals’ in the first half term and then ‘good to be me’.
In PE we start with netball before half term and then football afterwards.
In ICT we start with learning about the internet, how it was invented and how it works. Before working on adding audio to files.
In art we will draw coastal pictures and think about coastal animals. We will also look at the works of Picasso.
Our science topic is Electricity and light, then after half-term we will look at forces.
In RE, we are investigating how religions view forgiveness and then after half-term, we will be looking into what is important to Muslims
